Every 2 years the BEARS motorcycle club will consider and vote on remits received to change the official BEARS race class rules. The aim is to progress the sport and keep current with available machines and other developments.
We are aware that some of our rules are outdated and some classes are not attracting many competitors. We are looking to the members for your ideas on how we move forward, attract more competitors and a variety of bikes that will keep our sport viable into the future. This is a chance to have your say. You must be a financial member to submit and vote on remits.
Remits can be anything from minor changes to complete new rules or class structure.
When writing your remit, you must consider and include all of the following points.
· Your name, phone number and email address
· What class/classes do you want to see changed?
· What are the changes and what are the main reasons?
· How will the changes benefit the sport now and in the future?
· What disadvantages are there? classes, machines and riders it will affect?
· Will it require a change to anything else, other classes or the race format?
Remits must be received by the secretary before 29th August 2024. These will then be reviewed, and refined if necessary, at a meeting on the 31st August at Ruapuna directly after racing. Finalised remits will be circulated to members and then voted on at a members meeting in September. Date and venue still to be confirmed.
