A Special General Meeting was held on October 9th to review and vote on remits to change the official BEARS race class rules. The new rules were passed and will come in to effect at Sound of Thunder 2025. There are quite a few changes so if you are preparing a bike to compete at Sound of Thunder 2025 please read the rules carefully.
An overview of the changes.
Formula sport has been renamed to Formula 2 and specific bikes have been added.
Formula 3 will replace F2 with some capacity changes and the addition of Aprilia RS457
Lightweight becomes one class with some capacity changes
SuperStock limited: 4V singles capacity reduced to 600cc.
SuperStock Open: 4V singles 601 to open added.
Best of British: The Hinkley twins subclass has been removed.
Formula 1, MotoEuro, Heritage, Milwaukee Iron and Classics are all unchanged.
The object of these changes is to open up the classes to bikes that would have been uncompetitive under the existing rules and to better distribute bikes through the class structure.

Remember they do not coming in to effect until Sound of Thunder 2025.
